AVID.  At Covina High School, the nationally acclaimed college readiness program (AVID) is having a significant impact on Covina High, the students, and the rest of the campus. The goal? Get more students college ready, push them to their academic potential, and send them off to a four-year university, it's that simple.

By using a variety of successful teaching strategies, providing academic support, and a tutorial program twice a week, the AVID program has been nothing short of successful. Binders, Cornell Notes, and the tutorial program have allowed the students to exceed academically and prepare them for the rigor of college.
