The Mathematics Department at Covina High School strives to provide a high quality mathematics education that enables all students to increase their mathematical literacy, understand mathematical principles, cultivate analytical ways of thinking, and develop fluency with numbers, symbolic representation, geometry, and data.

The goal of the Mathematics Department is to provide an educational experience that reflects the vision of Covina High School and the Covina-Valley Unified School District. Teachers will use various teaching strategies, such as effective first instruction, to deliver effective standards-based lessons designed to help close the achievement gap, and promote a college-going culture.
